New Support Programme for Polish Nationals in Ireland

Barka Charity for Mutual Help Ireland is pleased to announce the launch of a new support programme for Polish nationals living in Ireland who are experiencing homelessness, are at risk of homelessness, or are facing social exclusion.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dublin.

Free support available

As part of the programme, participants can access:

  • Legal advice on housing, employment, residence documentation and administrative matters.
  • Psychological support, including individual online counselling and crisis intervention.
  • Life coaching to help rebuild confidence, set personal and professional goals, and support independent living.
  • Language support and interpreting during appointments with public services and assistance with official documents.
  • Community integration activities, including workshops and cultural events promoting social inclusion and preventing homelessness.

The programme is aimed at Polish nationals in Ireland who need practical, emotional or legal support. Services are available free of charge and referrals are accepted from community organisations, public services, charities, healthcare professionals and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dublin.
